Prediction: When push comes to shove, Democrats will pass the additional war funding being requested by the President. Nevermind that they gained majority status because of war discontent. When the bill hits the floor, we'll get some great speeches expressing "grave reservations", but in the end, few will be willing to actually vote against.

I like how the problem gets phrased as having something to do with supporting the troops, as if to suggest that it was a moment from Rambo or Clear and Present Danger: "Will we leave the troops behind? What will they do for protection? Food? Milk?!"
